Avery Carlson is a junior at Forest Hills Eastern. She was born in Chicago Illinois where she spent most of her childhood along with her two brothers. Avery is incredibly interested in English and is considering a career in screenwriting, public speaking, or creative writing. Other than this, she also loves music as she is currently singing for the Grand Rapids Symphony Youth Chorus and has been since elementary school. Avery also loves the outdoors and often goes skiing with her brother and her dad. In her free time she loves getting together with friends and spending time with family, including her dog Wrigley. This is her first ever year writing for the Hawk Herald and Avery is more than exited to create articles for students and staff alike to read.
