If you struggle with being decisive, you can practice making choices. Practice will render decision-making easier for you as a leader. If collaborating with others is a challenge for you, consider committing to a project or taking a class that requires collaboration.
The seniors at Eastern are learning and applying leadership skills every week by doing various activities. Take the lead classes are focused on improving these seniors’ skills. They are working with volunteer leaders of the real world to learn what it means to be a good leader and how to get everyone involved. With the information they take in, it is tried to be replicated in hawk teams by leading their small group of hawks. A leader can make or break a group. If they are good they can greatly improve the chances of participation and respect of the members.

They also need to effectively communicate their priorities to others and inspire them to commit to those goals as well. Leadership does not depend on one’s title. For me, the following qualities are essential in a team captain. First, a captain has to be competitive. Second, they have to be a hard worker. Third, and this can’t be overlooked, they have to be kind and helpful teammates. Fourth, they have to care about how the team does. Finally, they should be a model teammate. In other words, the team captain should embody the positive qualities of your team. Not everyone is born with great leadership skills. In fact, it is hard to find a person who is a natural leader. And while team members are all expected to be hardworking and committed to their activity, we cannot rule out the fact that each has his or her own set of personal values and individual goals.
