Wednesday, November 9, five FHE athletes committed to various colleges and universities to continue both their academic and athletic careers. While there are several National Signing Days, yesterday marked the first in a series of formal announcements. FHE Sports anticipates additional signings before the end of the school year in June of 2023! Congratulations to our awesome athletes.

Alayna Davis (‘23) committed to play lacrosse as a midfielder at Central Michigan University. FHNE lacrosse head coach Joe Curucru described Alayna as determined, dedicated, and a powerhouse scorer for the team over the past two seasons. Throughout her FHNE lacrosse career so far, Alayna was named an OK White All-Conference athlete her sophomore season, Division 1 First Team All-State athlete her sophomore and junior seasons, and a Michigan 2022 Lacrosse All-American athlete her junior season.

Erin Longo (‘23) committed to play softball as a pitcher/catcher at Alma College. Head coach Mike Mengyan described Erin as hard-working and a natural leader. Along with Lilly Zaskowski, Erin was also a major contributor to the softball team’s district championship this past season. Outside of FHE, Erin plays softball for the Diamonds travel team.

Jacob Pallo (‘23) committed to play baseball as a pitcher at Hillsdale College. FHE baseball head coach Ian Hearn described Jacob as having a relentless work ethic and contains the qualities of not only a good baseball player, but of a good person as well. Pallo was a key contributor to FHE’s state championship this past spring, as he allowed less than one run per game throughout the season. This past season, Pallo was an All-State recipient.

Aiden Sullivan (‘23) committed to run cross-country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field at the University of Michigan. Cross-country and track head coach Dan McElheny highlighted Aiden’s work ethic and commitment to the sport, as he trains year-round while participating in other sports such as basketball. Aiden placed 3rd in the state of Michigan at the D2 cross-country state championship meet, making him the highest-placing athlete in school history. Aiden currently holds FHE’s 1-mile record, 5k record, and is a state champion in the 800m. Throughout his track/cross-country career so far, Aiden has earned All-State Honors in cross country during his junior and senior seasons.

Lilly Zaskowski (‘23) committed to play softball as a pitcher at Albion College. Head coach Mike Mengyan described Lilly as a dedicated player, teammate, and natural leader. According to Mengyan, Lilly was one of the primary athletes in the FHE softball team’s district championship season this past spring. Outside of FHE, Lilly plays softball for Finesse Fastpitch.
