Varsity Cheer Wraps up Their 19-20 Season

The Forest Hills Eastern Varsity Cheerleading team had their districts competition on Friday night. They beat their record high scores in both rounds two and three and came in eighth place out of thirteenth. Only the top four teams advance to the regional competition, so, unfortunately, this was the team’s last time hitting the mat. Science Olympiad Places at University of Michigan

Science Olympiad is a club advised by Mrs. Geers that competes in science competitions in many different categories, including anatomy, meteorology, chemistry, ecology, forensics, and many others. Teams of two or three compete in different events which are either more hands-on or more test-like. FHE Bowling Team

The Forest Hills Eastern bowling team practices 4 days per week at Northfield lanes on Plainfield. The team competes in bowling meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and occasionally on Saturdays. Matches start around 3:30 and generally last around 2 hours.  Raelyn Baker (‘20) is new to the team as a senior and has greatly enjoyed the season so far. Swirl: the Lowdown

Amber DeJonge: Making a Difference in the Community

Amber Dejonge, A Forest Hills Eastern Junior, is a powerhouse athlete with many passions. She participates in three sports: softball, ice hockey, and field hockey. She is also involved in three nonprofits: Toys for Tots, Griffins Youth Foundation, and Billy Bear Hug.
