Hayden Foote: A Rapture for Wrestling

Fifteen minutes of conditioning, one hour of drilling takedowns and turns, and thirty minutes of live wrestling matches. The wrestling team, led by captains Hayden Foote, Joseph Doherty, and Gabe Hassan, practices six days per week from December through March. Intense practices, limited diets, and talented coaches and athletes construct a formidable team. Two years in a row, the boys wrestling team at FHE has placed second at conference. Jamie Anderson: The Amazing Horror Filmmaker

When most of us started watching YouTube videos when the platform was released, Jamie Anderson ’20 was one of the many who found inspiration to become a YouTuber one day. She would film videos on her old laptop’s built-in camera and edit them in Movie Maker. After a while, she used an actual camera and “spent hours editing vlogs that would never be seen.” Creating storylines and being on camera sparked her interest in theatre and film.…

Athlete. Theatre star. Friendly face, and standard senioritis victim. Daniel Kurylo, ‘19, is an addition to the 2018 trend of not sleeping, not eating, and yet still managing to survive high school. Gabi Sleeman: The “Hippie of FHE”

Gabi Sleeman is a senior here at FHE. She has been involved in varsity sideline cheer for the past four years, but she is involved in many more interesting activities outside of the classroom. “I have been apart of sideline cheer for the past four years, I feed the homeless every Thursday with my aunt Downtown, and I volunteer at the Humane Society a few times a week.” Gabi’s ambition to give back is inspiring…
