David McCready, a senior at FHE, has been a student of Forest Hills Schools and a resident of Grand Rapids, all his life. David is clearly dedicated and a lover of sports, something he has participated in almost all his life. David has played baseball for 12 years, and his last high school season will be in the spring. However, where ever he chooses to attend college, GVSU or Northwood he says, he hopes to play baseball there. Not only has David focused on baseball , he plays and and is a huge football fan. David has played football for 10 years and was the quarterback this season. His talent has been recognized, as he was nominated for player of the week on MLive, last week. David and his family are die-hard Michigan fans, and he makes sure to show his support. David is adored by much of his class and was nominated for Homecoming Court. David says his best memories at Eastern was the football camping trip, and the Wyoming football game where he was 11-of-19 for 255 yards, including four touchdowns. His performance helped lead to the second victory for FHE of this season.
In addition to his love of sports, David interested is business, marketing, and accounting. His favorite teacher is Mrs. Buchanan, and he is in three of business-related classes this semester and hopes to study accounting after graduation.
